It’s been a while since my last blog entry, and recently I’ve been reading up and studying Pick Up Artists, or PUA for short. Have you ever wondered how some guys seem to get all the girls effortlessly? You’re probably looking at them and thinking “you’re not even that good looking, how are you doing it?”

The truth is, attracting a woman isn’t all that hard if you know how to do it. The only thing you have to remember is to be yourself and expel confidence. You could try all the techniques in the world but if you’re lacking that confidence then your techniques are likely to fail. The reason behind this article is to give you the basic techniques that will help you attract women, but without the confidence they’re likely to fail

There are a number of ways to show confidence, even if you just fake that confidence chances are, after a while of faking it, you’ll genuinely start to feel more confident within yourself.

The truth is, men are hardwired to go for the most attractive women, whilst women are hardwired to go for the most confident man, although good looks will give you the initial attraction, if you haven’t got the personality to suit it, women will go off you fairly quickly. Women find confidence hot, even if you’re not the best looking person, if you have confidence, then you’re well on your way to becoming a pickup artist. There are Four steps to picking up a woman, these are listed, and explained in detail below.

Confidence

Confidence is key to being a good Pick Up Artist, if you’re able to show that you’re confident then you’re well on your way. Confidence is shown through the way you hold yourself, it shows through posture, the way you walk, your smile, the way you talk to people, etc.. Picture the scene, two guys are walking down the high street, one of them has their hands in their pockets, they’re looking down and avoiding eye contact with everyone, the other guy on the other hand is walking with his head up, he is standing up right, making eye contact with everyone and smiling to people. Which one of these will appear more confident? If you wish to gain confidence then you should look through some of the previous articles on this blog, or do a search on google for tips and techniques on improving your own self confidence.

Approaching/Opening

The opening/approaching someone is perhaps the hardest part, if you lack self confidence then chances are when you’re talking up to a girl you don’t know, you’ll be full of anxiety. The only real way to build up self confidence is to practice, practice makes perfect. The more girls/women you approach and start a conversation with, the more self confident you’ll become in doing it. Below I’ve listed a few openers that you could use to get into a conversation.

If you’re going up to a complete stranger, maybe you’re waiting for a bus/train or something, a good way to break the ice is to walk up to someone and say

“Isn’t it annoying when a complete stranger starts talking to you” be sure to smile when you say it, it’ll appear slightly cocky and should make her smile.

You know, I’ve been here for 10 minutes and you still haven’t spoken to me, whats that all about?

(If she smiles while walking past you, stop her and say) “Wait a minute, you cant smile at me like that and just walk past”

Smile and make eye contact

You look like someone I’d like to meet.

Where are you going?

(If at a bus stop) “What’s a girl like you doing at a bus stop?”

Hey guys, I need to get your opinion on something. It’s very important, and we need a woman’s perspective. It’s a matter of life and death.. My friend and I were having a debate and your answer could completely change my entire life….

Do you brush before floss or floss before brush? No one knows.

When a girl bumps into you in a crowded club tap her on the shoulder and say “don’t touch me” . have something to immediately follow up with. (Be sure to smile and say it in a playful way, or she might take it seriously)

Did you know that Elvis dyed his hair black? What was his natural hair color

Asking weird, interesting questions will usually grab a girls attention, once you’ve done this and you’ve engaged in conversation, try keeping the conversation fun and light, if you start talking about yourself she’ll get bored, make the conversation about her, and be sure to make lots of eye contact and smile.

The next two steps will be available in Article 2 which will be published in the next couple of days.

You’ve probably at some point read your Horoscope out of interest to find out what it says about you, and chances are at least some of it turned out to be accurate for you, or maybe it fitted you perfectly and you were surprised with its accuracy. The truth is, horoscopes are very vague and rely on the effort of the reader to make them fit. If someone is reading a horoscope then chances are they’ll be looking for guidance or they’ll believe in the accuracy of horoscopes, so they’ll try to make that fit in with their lives, its a very basic form of Cold Reading.

In this article I’m going to teach you how to write a horoscope. Learning how to be vague, whilst making yourself sound like your telling someone whats happening, or will happening in their life is easier than you might imagine. Below I’ve written my own short horoscope for you to read, it may, or may not be accurate for you, however if you try, you will probably be able to relate to at least some of it.

“Although times have been tough recently, things will begin to improve for you. You’ve been worried about something recently, but things will work themselves out. Look for a sign, a sign will lead you to the path of happiness and success that you are looking for”

Now, I’ve been very vague but at the same time, i’ve thrown in some “Cold Reading” phrases to help things along. Although many newspaper horoscopes are a little longer than this one, I’m just doing a basic one to give you the general idea. I’m now going to break that horoscope down to show you the different meanings that can be attained from what i’ve said above, which should allow you to see just how many people this could be true for.

“You’ve been worried about something recently” – This could mean absolutely anything, things have been tough for many people recently due to the recession, and many people are worried about their financial situation. It could also be related to a relationship, family issues, or something they have planned. This phrase could mean absolutely anything, and a large number of people are often worried about something, so this should fit a majority of people who read it.

You should always try to throw in some positive phrases too “a sign will lead you to the path of happiness and success that you are looking for” If you throw in something positive then the reader is more likely to accept the reading, everyone loves to be told something positive, just like in Cold Reading, if you give a generally positive read, they are more likely to accept that reading as being accurate. So next time you get into the conversation of Horoscopes with someone, why not ask them if you can give them a quick reading.

Picture the scene, you’re in the work place and you discover your mobile phone has gone missing, you try ringing it but it’s been turned off. You know it has to be someone within the office so you go around asking people if they have seen your phone. Everyone says no without any suspicion, but then you ask Malcolm, who says no whilst gently tapping his trouser pocket. Chances are, he has your mobile phone. When someone is hiding something and feels nervous about it, they may tap it subconsciously in an attempt to feel less nervous. So if you see someone exhibiting this behaviour, then chances are they may have the missing item, particularly if they don’t usually tap their pocket whilst they’re talking.

If you ever find yourself in a situation where something has gone missing, look around to see how people are reacting to it, someone going over the top in trying to find that missing object? When I was in primary school i remember stealing my friends pen because I used to like the way it wrote, kids do strange things. Anyway, when she realized the pen was missing from her try, she told me and I instantly began looking around anywhere it could be, I probably went way over the top in trying to find something that I knew I had in my pocket. So if you see someone displaying this type of behaviour immediately after an item has gone missing, then they may have something to hide.

It’s amazing what people will give away when they’re trying to hide something. Again, imagine your mobile phone has gone missing and you’re going around talking to people about it, you know someone within the office must have it, you’re at the water cooler talking to someone about it and they’re acting a little off, they keep looking over towards their desk, unless they usually do this as their baseline, then they could be feeling nervous because they have your mobile phone. When someone is nervous they give off a lot of information subconsciously, so if you suspect someone, try making them nervous without offending them to see if you can get a better read.

Everything talked about above does not conclusively tell you if someone has stolen an item of yours. However if you are in a situation and someone is showing one or more of the above, then they may be hiding something and you should try and dig a little deeper to find out what that could be.

Positive Reinforcement can be a very good way to get someone to trust you and open up to you. I’ve recently read some articles on this and I’ve put it into practice and it definitely works.

If you’ve ever watched “The Mentalist” then you’ll see Patrick Jane doing it all the time. He is constantly touching peoples hands and arms when hes talking to you which helps him form a stronger connection with that person, even though the show is fictional, Positive Reinforcement is very real. You’ll also notice that he’s always complimenting people.

Positive Reinforcement isn’t just about touching someones arm, because if you walked up to someone you didn’t know and started touching their hands and their arms, chances are they’re going to feel pretty uncomfortable and will probably want to get out of there as soon as they can. You should start off by giving them a compliment, mirroring will also help in this type of situation too.

So next time you’re meeting someone and you’d like them to trust you and like you pretty much instantly, then use a mixture of Positive Reinforcement and Mirroring and they’ll trust you fairly quickly and they’ll probably feel as if they’ve known you a lot longer than a couple of hours.

I have been gathering pictures that’ll go well with the information I plan to talk about. The booklet should be ready within the next couple of weeks and will be uploaded directly onto this blog. I’ll try and write it so that you can simply “skip” to the sections you’re more interested in, such as Lie Detection, Cold Reading or some Mentalism Mind Tricks that you can play on your friends.

The PDF booklet will be 100% FREE for you to download with absolutely NO hidden costs.

I’ve been very busy and I probably will be for the next couple of weeks at least, so I’ll be finding it hard to find any time to blog. In some spare time today however I came across this website which gives some fantastic information on Character Reading and Cold Reading and it’s certainly well worth the read.

You can view that website by clicking on the website address below.

Blog Change

I’ve also decided to change the style of the blog, the new template gives us that fresh, clean and modern look and is absolutely perfect for the look i’ve been wanting during the last couple of weeks. I hope you like the new layout. I should be back to blogging regularly sometime over the next couple of weeks.

If you’ve recently been hurt in some way, or there’s something bothering you that just doesn’t seem to go away, then this may be of some help to you. I’m not saying that this is a long term fix, nor am I saying that it’ll work for everybody, but why not give it a try? You never know, it could help you.

When you’re laying in bed, struggling to fall asleep because all you can think about is this certain thing thats been playing on your mind for days, I want you to focus only on whatever it maybe that’s bothering you. Notice how your breathing changes, notice how your heart rate may increase and more importantly notice how you feel inside, do you feel sad? Angry? etc.. just focus on what you’re feeling at that very moment in time.

Continue to think about whatever is affecting you and just let the emotion take over for a couple of minutes, stay laying in your bed and resist the temptation to get up and punch something, if the emotion you’re feeling is anger. If you’re feeling sadness and begin to cry, then just cry, let it all out and continue to take note of how you’re feeling. This is the hardest step to take because sometimes emotion can be overwhelming, but you only need to do this for a couple of minutes.

Once the emotion has completely taken over for a couple of minutes and you’ve recognised the emotion that you are feeling, then it’s time to imagine a box. It doesn’t matter how big that box is or what it looks like, that’s completely up to you, just imagine a box floating above your bed. I then want you to imagine all those feelings, and thoughts you’ve just experienced being put into that box followed by the lid closing, and then imagine placing that box away.

Doing the above is a way of going through that emotion, which is an important step to healing, and it also allows you to put those emotions and thoughts away to enable you to get a good nights sleep. This technique may take some practice before it begins to work efficiently, or it may work straight away. Even if you don’t believe that it’ll work, give it a go, it might just help you.

Psychometry is another brilliant way in which you can convince someone that you’re psychic even if this is the first time meeting them before. Many TV Psychics hold someone of the subjects because they claim it helps them get a more accurate read. You can do the same, to a point. The following technique can work without any practice, although the more practice you have the better you’ll become.

Once you’ve chosen a subject that you’d like to give a Cold Reading or “Psychic Reading” to, scan them, observe what they’re wearing and try and conjure up an image of what this person may be like, does he/she seem quiet and withdrawn? Does he/she have a wedding ring? You get the idea.

Once you’ve done this, you can then ask the subject if they’ve ever had a Psychic reading, and then go onto explain that you’re a Psychic and that you’d like to give her a reading, if she agrees, ask her if you can hold a personal item of hers. It doesn’t matter what it is, as long as you’re holding something that belongs to her.

Sit down with her, and close your eyes whilst holding the item. Feel it with your fingers for a short while and say the first image that comes into your mind, it doesn’t matter what that image is but put it forward to your subject. If a white door pops into your head for example, tell her you’re seeing a white door and ask her if that means anything to her. She’ll then be scanning her memory for a white door, which may be linked to her parents house.

If she says yes, add on to what she says, for example, if she says that it was the colour of her parents house you can start talking about that. If she’s a younger women then shes probably had some ups and downs with her parents, which you can then say “Yes, I sense you had some ups and downs with your parents during your childhood” Just start to generalize, most younger people have ups and downs with their parents, but she’ll make it fit. Generalize what someone of the subjects age probably would have been through. For an older lady, you can talk about how she’s concerned about her parents health.

Take the generalities of someone you know and apply them to the reading, if you can’t think of someone, apply generalities of your life into the reading.

Generalizations work because they’re often positive generalizations, and if you’re saying something positive the subject will work hard at making what you say fit with them, making it appear as if you’re psychic.

If you’re subject says no, and that a white door doesn’t mean anything to them, don’t worry. You can say that it stands as a symbol of something. Almost everyone has dreams that they know wont be reached but they can’t let go of, so you could say “You have a dream that you’d like to achieve but you feel you will never get there, you can achieve it, but you need to open this door, you need to find the key”

If you don’t get any images in your mind in the first place, which is highly unlikely, then you can just make something up and fit it into the reading. Try and use an image that could have lots of meanings, trees (playing in the park) Paper, etc..

If you do run out of things to say, simply tell them that you’re not getting anything through and the channel has gone cold, and then simply thank them and leave.

The good thing about Psychometry is that it can be done anywhere, and if you’re new to trying it, then you should get lots of images popping into your mind in which you’ll be able to use.
